Be glad Nucks only play them once or twice a year, at most. We're subject to those mental giants all season. Poor poor ranger fans....someone doesn't like the team and we should convene a congressional subcommitte. Wah wah wah

Sorry, Pat, I go pulled into something. I know the OHL, because those are the games I go to. Only been to one game so far because the season has just started, but saw McDavid, and the Troy Donnay guy that the Rangers signed as a undrafted free agent (who didn't impress me).

Some guys to look out for in this years draft (not necessarily under the radar guys), are Matt Mistele (LW- Plymouth), Josh Ho Sang (C-Windsor), Nick Ritchie (LW-Petersborough), Roland McKeown (Kingston-D), and obviously Aaron Ekblad (D-Barrie Colts).

For Islanders fans, the Islanders 5th round pick last year, Victor Krus Rydberg is centering the top line of Plymouth between Mistele and Hartman, and seems like he has some good wheels and puck skills. I think they may have gotten a steal there, and sometimes you can find good value with Swedes late.

Thanks for the info, I'll have to keep a look out for some of these guys.

The comments section on Eklund's main blog is a good laugh... I can't believe he ranked the Devils to come in 2nd. I don't think they are going to be as bad as people make them out to be,could sneak in for a playoff spot, but 2nd in the division!? Wow

"only a few blogs a week"

don't hate on jan yo. he's one of the best bloggers on this site.

It's not hate. Just a fact. His personal/professional life probably requires more time than other bloggers' who post drivel and cupcake recipes. But that's partly why some of your blogs get several hundred replies, which was what I was replying about.

He did it for the same reason he pumps the Rangers tires from time to time, to get a devils hate-on going.

Gio, you are by far the biggest asshat of ALL Ranger fans on this site, maybe in this entire blog. The crap you say in here and over on our site is god-awful. You're the biggest homer and biased beyond belief. Even the other ranger fans in here make fun of you. I wasn't knocking Jan as you can see in my reply a few above this one. It's gonna be a long season if you're flying off the handle already. Are you predicting another run for the cup, yet? I'd be worried if I were you, your team is missing some key players to start the season, Hank's GAA is alarming right now and he's gonna have the pressure of playing for a new contract in the back of his head all year and no one to dive in front of shots anymore. I come to this site because it's funny to read what people like you post. But I don't do it just to Ranger fans - I call out my Islander brothers as well for the ridiculous things they say.

Damn the preseason GAA are heavily factored in the Vezina discussion.

No you don't. You were the same douche that was adamant that Bailey was better than Stepan.

question for you boys, what do you think is going to happen with girardi, think he will be resigned? You have to think one of the those top 4 dmen for you will eventually be moved since you have Moore now and McIriath is down on the farm

Hoping he gets resigned, but he definitely would attract serious attention on the open market. Probably a million more AAV than Ference signed for this summer.

So reading a lot of the tweets and articles by some of the beat writers today, they make it seem like Asham and Powe are both likely to make the opening night roster. So if you add them to Dorsett, Boyle, Pyatt, Moore....that is a lot of none goal scorers. Also doesn't leave much room for any kids.

He could easily make up 4.5m aav on the open market, I would love the Avs to get their paws on him, he would be a nice partner for Johnson.

Hopefully a deadline deal could be had

So that means only one of Kreider, Miller or Hrivik make the team.

Not sure if I like that

Although I expect there to be a bit of trade activity this weekend has teams try to maneuver to get under the cap by Monday. So who knows, maybe the Rangers make a deal.

maybe, but it doesn't seem like any of the kids besides miller really outplayed powe/boyle/asham/pyatt to be honest.

I think Hrivik may have a shot to make it, I thought Lindberg, Kristo or Fast would have had a better shot than him in the beginning of camp but Hrivik has played better than I thought he would.

not looking good whatsoever. obviously, mcdonagh, staal, and girardi are all out and we're missing 3 top 6 forwards with stepan, cally, and hags not playing, but hank isn't even looking up to his normal standards and the team just overall looks like a mess.

Any idea on what the Ranger lines will look like on opening night? And once Callahan and Hagein return?

Honestly I think its up in the air. AV sounds like he wants to give Stepan a shot with Nash this upcoming week in practice. There is talk that Richards or Brassard could move to wing. 4 forwards are still going for 2 spots. The only thing that is locked in is the defense.
