from what i recall he should have covered up that first goal but otherwise he did look sharp. have to keep in mind that there was no Karlsson, Spezza, Ryan, Michalak. would have preferred to see him get the Wednesday game to get a better picture of where he is.

Not trying to be a troll but Ottawa was missing there 1st, 2nd and 3rd line and only had one NHL defenceman (Cowan). Other than Zibj, Smith, Anderson and Conacher (who is still fighting for a spot) Ottawa iced an AHL team. Montreal looked pretty sloppy until the 3rd, it's pre-season so it's to be expected but I would have thought Montreal would have dominated more. Plekanics is awesome and Briere looks great. It's a meaningless game but no team can come out that slow for 2 periods and expect to win a NHL games.

agree with pretty much all of this. but like you said, preseason. completely meaningless. especially the last game. i was cringing the entire game, just hoping no one got injured. there is just no way that anyone is going all out.

that said, it was nice to see them get 3 by Anderson, and none of the cheap variety.
