I think Montreal's offense is better.
Ottawa's D is better--not by much.
Ottawa's goaltender has been better--no debate, and Lehner is a better back up than Budaj. It's a new year... eager to see how it plays out in both cities at the position.

Prospects? No, Ottawa's aren't better.

Coaching??? Why cause Paul Maclean beat Therrien before getting pummeled by Pittsburgh?

Sorry, not giving it to him. Can admit he outcoached Therrien in the playoffs, but both coaches were vital to their team's success last season. I don't think either one of them has the edge on terms of where their team finishes in the standings.

If Ottawa's better than Montreal, it's marginal, and even so, it doesn't guarantee them a higher finish in the standings.

So you admit you were being WRONG!!!

Montreal, but really not by much.
I don't see much of a difference between the Leafs, Habs and Sens. It's going to be a battle between all three to grab two spots in the playoffs.

judging by what people say about the Leafs, they may be among the most underrated teams out there.

I'd play Prust with the 3rd line of Eller and 27. Not a big fan of having the 3 kids out there. Prust did a great job playing hockey next to the kids and would actually provide some sort of enforcement on that line.

I know I know.. where do you play Gally ?

Kessel Bozak JVR
Lupul Kadri Clarkson
Kulemin Bolland Raymond.

Very good top 9.
I think the D is a mess.
Goaltending is a wildcard.

Gallagher will replace Gionta when he'll be out for the season with multiple muscles detachment.

for me it's a push between Mtl and Tor until they separate themselves in the regular season. could see both being really good and both being... not good at all. i really don't think we can take last season too seriously.

I hope for the Leafs Kadri plays like last season, because otherwise, their centers (frank)ing blow.

His hip is probably still bruised from Reimers facemask.

So...you don't like Bolland as a third line center?
I think Kadri will be a very good number 2.

Bozak is a weak number 1. Although I do like him more than most Leaf fans.

The wingers are very good....especially if Lupul can stay healthy.

people say they'll be in the 6-10 grouping in the conference. not sure how that's underrating unless you think they're closer to the Bostons and Pittsburghs of the conference.

Yeah...you're probably right.

Winnipeg looks awful in preseason.
I have tickets to the October 15 game against the Habs here.
