someone just posted that a 22-man roster is 300k shy of the cap, so im going by that. if it's a 20-man roster that's 333k shy of the cap, yeah they're kinda (frank)ed unless they unload some significant salary. - scotch_tape
The 22 man scenario is correct. |

lol I posted just that...22 man roster with 333K remaining. I didnt post the defenders obv, but they have just enough to fill an entire roster right now. Any injuries theyre in trouble, and again thats if you feel fine with playing Orr and McLaren for all 10 games. |

Even with the Kessel deal, there will still be enough. |

Yeah, I think Ashton can make up for his defensive polish with a nastiness that Kulemin lacks. I still think Kulemin's the better player, but having another 3M+ 3rd liner doesn't sound healthy, cap-wise. - gravyface
Steve Simmons thinks Carlyle will pick broll to replace clarkson for 10 games, he brings the same game.
Umm.. I think Ashton is closer to clarkson and he has more scoring. |

The sad thing is, Kulemin is technically this teams most physical player...so ya there it is. |

I agree, Kulemin does a lot of the little things that often go unnoticed. Strips guys of the puck a lot, cycles well, gets rid of the puck in bad scenarios. He just needs to get his offense back to a 3rd line calibre cause of late, its been 4th line good. - Colin Dambrauskas
Even his D last year was suspect.
He's simply not that player on a consistent basis.
Easily replaceable. |

I think he's referring to the fact that there will be a bunch of guys looking for a raise at the same time. There won't be a ton of room. |

as it should...a suspender player still counts against the cap. |

It will be once Clarkson returns.
I have no idea how the daily rate works for injuries and/or roster players, but for 10 games and the length of Orr, Bolland, and/or McLaren's injuries, I think they can make something work. |

I thought his offensive numbers were worse tbh...Adam pointed out that they werent. I like his game, he quietly gets the job done and plays he body. Exactly a Carlyle type guy. Low maintenance. |

Right, but with McLaren hurt, Colborne centering 4th line, Kulemin slotting into the 2nd line RW, we're short a 3rd line RW, let alone a 13th forward. |
