I tihnk a lot of you guys arent fair on prospects...what do you really expect from them in a small sample of games? I felt Ashton showed some potential in the games hes played so far...understands his role, dropped the gloves...hustles...hes a potential 3rd line guy still trying to find his groove.

Given the role Ashton is looking to fill i think he's bad a pretty good camp

Perhaps I'm just stating the obvious, but Carter Ashton sucks.

I couldn't care less if the Leafs give him away for nothing.

If he's the grease to move Liles, even better.

I'd rather have him on the 4th line than any of the other scrubs to replace McLaren while injured.

The best case scenario is that he develops into a 3rd liner.

3rd liners aren't that hard to come by in the UFA market.

Like I said, if we can use him as grease to move Liles, I'd do it and never look back.
