I think they will have to eat at least 1 M then replace the 7 D spot with say Brennan. Frees up about 2.2M. makes next year easier too. Cap goes up by say 5M 2.5M comes off for payouts etc plus 2M for Liles. Close to 10M more right there.

yup. lots of ways it could happen, just have to find the right situation where they actually Need Liles.

Also worth noting his salary dives to $2.75M the final year. Helps a little

I felt Ashton showed some potential in the games hes played so far...understands his role, dropped the gloves...hustles...hes a potential 3rd line guy still trying to find his groove.

I also like how he has looked in the small sample so far. If need be I think he can be a cheap third line player as well.
