Corsi is being rammed down everyone's throat, see the article in question. It's the new stat in vogue now dispute it's obvious flaws. A few people are pushing it hard and the braindead legions are following. They don't see the flaws in it.

there are inherent flaws in every stat category, traditional as well as advanced. And all these flaws can potentialy skew things. but it doesnt mean that Corsi and similar stats should be completely ignored or dismissed.

I want one. One has to leave. I DO believe Dion is replaceable, but i would obviously like to keep him around for less $ and TOI. The youngsters we have are VERY good offensively and i believe less of a liability due to more speed and smarter hockey sense. Sure they take more chances and aren't s strong (yet), but they have more potential than both Franny and Pha9. I would love to see Liles be moved also to make room for Rielly too, but i doubt that will materialize.

I used to read BR quite a bit about 2 years ago I enjoyed it for about six months and then they started changing the main writers and it just went to poop after, it got so bad I won't even go to the site anymore.

#1 this article doesn't take all into account, only corsi and that crap.

#2 corsi is extremely flawed and has no relevance for me. It's too flawed to concidering even looking at. Some stats have their flaws, yes but corsi's foundation. Is flawed. It it build on fundamentally flawed platform.

I am sticking to my guns that goaltending stats are being ridiculously underrated when judging the Leafs. That was a bigger reason for the playoffs. It was not puck possession.

I hope Nonis can fit everyone under the cap nest summer. Kessel for sure will get $7 mill per, Phanuef at least get $6-6.5 mill per, Franson mabie $5 mill per, other UFA's are Kulemin, McClement, Raymond, Bolland, Fraser, Gardner, Orr, McLaren & Reimer. That is quite a list.

The problem is we don't have anyone close to being as good of a whole package as Phaneuf, not even close. Everybody likes to poop on him but he is a good player who deserves some credit for what he has helped the team achieve as the Captain of the club. Nonis and Phaneuf have both stated the desire for him to be with the leafs and I doubt he goes anywhere.

Some teams rely on their goaltending more than others. Therefor the stats matter more for some goalies than others. I dont know why people are arguing about this
