I know.. why even play the games?
It's funny... I can't stand Paul Steigerwald, on the air or the couple times I've talked to him in person. But he was on one of the Pens radio shows early in camp, and he said one thing that really rings true. Basically that everyone is now talking about how Fleury will play in the playoffs, or how will the bottom six handle the rough playoffs, coaching strategy, etc... Why can't we just enjoy the process and the games?
It's so true... yes, we all look ahead to the opening night roster, to the trade deadline, to the playoffs, etc., but we're hockey fans because we love hockey. Just enjoy the game... We can debate roster changes all we want, but we have zero input on that. When I sit down in front of the TV for a Penguin game, I'm not worried about what happens down the road, I just want to be entertained for a few hours by a good hockey game, featuring some of the most talented players in the world. Why get stressed out and angry about stuff we can't control?
