Still waiting for the cuts. Curious to see what direction they go in. They will probably keep Colborne, because he's at the league minimum, but he doesn't deserve it. They need to move Liles and get the cap space they need to get Franson under contract for the next few years.

not yet.... i've heard the leafs are discussing whether or not to bring in Mike Gillis to give us some cap relief... that guys a magician.

I think nonis has a mini lu/schneider situation on his hands with liles/franson.

Do you trade the younger player for a decent return or the older player with the relatively onerous contract and give up a prospect/retain salary?

Seems to me that trading franson for a decent return is the better long-term move.

Yeah - I would hope if franson is traded for a package of futures it's to a western team.

I would hate to see him on a team battling the leafs for a playoff spot if all we got back was futures.
