we've been saying that for 3 (frank)ing years...he loves to jump.

You will be cursing him by the 20 game mark.

I hope I'm wrong...but (frank) the guy plays everything but D.

edit: hate to break up the argument, gotta go pick up the kids off the bus

cheers

- Garnie

He's exciting to watch period though. He'll create more goals then he'll be liable for. And that's the point of the sport.

Not going to miss Grabovski at all.

you wont miss him, because you wont be watching him.

When's Gardiner getting traded, anybody watch that fool last night?

Coughs up the puck at the red line ( misplays it ) then he gets back...GREAT...and 1/2 second later he pinches and lets the Sens have a breakaway...(frank) not sure I can handle him for a whole season...I say he only plays when we are behind or ahead by 5...you don't want his Offence only style out there for close games.

- Garnie

Nothing personal towards you, but laymen are horribly unqualified to judge defensemen. That's why they have pro scouts.

Defense, above all other positions, is the hardest to look good playing. It's not a position that provides a lot of opportunity to be the hero, but there are a hundred opportunities per game to be the scape goat.

Everyone will see that one mistake, but nobody will see the dozens of times you play exactly as the coach wants. There isn't a stat for pucks chipped off the glass and down the ice.

Once again, Gardiner actually led our team last year in ESTOI/GA, which is pretty impressive given that he was widely seen as struggling last season.

I won't miss having 5.5 mil tied up in a guy who flew around the ice contributing nothing offensively while playing lousy defense. Hell, even Raymond managed to put up points.

I wish him the best, but Toronto outgrew his services.

I hear from his Interview that he is back at it, snorting pain killers again.

Ends every sentence with a good pull. Someone needs to hook him up with some better stuff.

He's not a "Carlyle type of player", apparently.

Whatever that means.

Wish Phil would have tossed Flynn to the side after he was done with him and went to Bozie's rescue.

Loved Ashton in the scrum. Watched it a couple times just concentrating on him - too funny.

Yeah, it's only been a couple months, but I've basically forgotten all about him. I didn't think we were missing anything at all not having him in these preseason games.

Bolland is a far cheaper and more effective fill-in for the role Grabo was performing.

Carlyle Type of Player is the new Burke Type of Player.

Edit: Probably because a "Nonis type of Player" would be a fat slob.

20 goals, 48 points in 78 gp

10 goals, 35 points in 53 gp - Broke his forearm, got in a fight at a bar in Vancouver during the Olympics

29 goals, 58 points in 81gp - That was the year of the MacArthur-kulemin line when everyone thought they were the Leafs 2nd line of the future

23 goals, 51 points in 74 gp

Then poop the bed last year under Carlyle

Pretty decent numbers, but the 5 year, 27.5m dollar contract sunk him. Should of just cashed him in at the deadline.

Ya the fact that he was Toronto's best player for two years in a row means nothing.
Or the fact RC had no clue how to use him.

RC is real genius!
