Hamilton over Pitlick... I wouldnt agree that Hamilton showed more than Pitlick on any one night this preseason. Again, tonight, i saw Pitlick using his body and using his speed. I liked what i saw from him and i cant wait to see how he does down in AHL this season. Its great to see a second round pick finally taking steps in the right direction.

Do we keep acton up when the two real centers return?
- JShack

Probably. He's good on faceoffs and solid on the PK.

Dubnyk stinks!! He is not a #1 NHL goalie and the Oilers are soon to find this out.

Ahh thank you for reminding me. I was hoping he'd make more of a push this camp for that number 7 spot. He still needs maybe 1 or 2 seasons and a few extra pounds. It seems to be hard for lanky players to grow into their bodies. In due time

Ok Yeti.

I'm out, but it's true and you all know it.

They should just come clean about RNH being a Girl and be done with it.

Right now??? Absolutely. Comparing an 18 year old Kessel to RNH from his first year to this point in his career? RNH 2 seasons 102GP- 76pts- 0.74ppg
Phil (H.R.S.) Kessel 1st 2 seasons 152gp- 66pts- 0.43ppg

So not even close looking at both players in the same context, RNH, dominant hands down. Come on champ, you can troll better than that.

From the guy who would trade Kessel for Dougie "lucky charms" Hamilton straight up!
- Byfuglien Ate Me

I think in about 3-4 yrs DH could be the more valuble asset. I know what I said and stand by it.

As for Kessel's slashing incident, if it were anyone but one of your precious Leafs you would be saying the same.

no it isn't.

your contention was that he might have a higher sv% because he faced so many shots. 38/40 is better than 18/20.

but the flip side is with MORE quality scoring chances that same sv% could down.

as u said stats don't tell the whole story. but that seems like exactly what you're trying to do. bypass the whole story and just concentrate on shot numbers..

- hugefemale dog77

Dubnyk is NOT a bad goalie, he is a GOOD goalie, but what I'm saying is that in a game where the checking is tight and not many scoring chances at all...where he doesn't even get a shot for 10minutes...Dubnyk is very near the top of my list of goalies that might lose their concentration and let in a soft goal.

Name me 3...actually...name me only ONE other goalies that has a reputation for "one soft goal a game". It's Dubnyk that has that reputation.

Dubnyk will not hurt the Oilers, but I'm saying he's not our guy to get us to another Stanley Cup. If Hall, Ebs, RNH, Schultz are considered "elite", our goaltender is certainly not "elite". He's good though, don't get me wrong. He's just not the guy I want playing behind our talent up front.

Not gonna lie, was at that game the first thing that crossed my mind when that innocent looking puck went in off Dubey was "Are you (frank)ing kidding me?" followed by "Well, there's the poopty goal he's going to let in tonight."

This is his last year to prove he's a starter. If he (frank)s this up, lets go sign Bryz, or some other under-appreciated yet proven NHL goalie.

You're wrong.

He was better than more than half the starting goalies in the league behind one of the worst defences in the leagues.

Numbers dont lie.

One softie, ahead of multiple great ones and a very solid game
