I'm starting to get the feeling Stan will make a move today. Why wouldn't he have sent the final defenseman to Rockford along with Pirri, Morin and Raanta last night?

I'm disappointed that Morin didn't make the team but I trust in Q's decision. I'm looking forward to seeing what Smith, Hayes and Nordstrom can do. I think a third line of Saad - Shaw - Hayes can be solid, much like Stalberg - Shaw - Bickell was last season.

Especially the way they found out she was stealing at the very end. it is a classic

Or the episode where Larry's wife's friend went to the movies with him and thought he was getting a boner for her. But he was explaining it was the excess pant material around his crotch that sticks out on all guys pants".

Great stuff.

Yeah that was funny. I liked the one where he took the girl's Judy doll. The ending was the best. When the little girl said there is an old bald guy in the women's bathroom and he hs something hard in his pants. so many great shows

I'm not sure that Pirri is the answer at #2C but he'll be back up with the big club sooner rather than later. Anyone who thinks Zus will last all season as the Hawks #2C is kidding themselves.

I think Kruger will get a shot there very soon. I still like spreading it out more with him on line 4. I think he and Nordstrom will have a solid year together.

Wow. Kyle Beach is off to Sweden.

@KBeachy12 3m

It's official! Couldn't be more excited to join @HV71 in #Sweden. It's an honor and a privilege. I will start working on my Swedish! #Tack

So he is no longer Blackhawks property? Or do they have him until the end of this year as he signed a contract with them.

Never did understand the logic of resigning him during the off season. Wish the lad well in Sweden.

I didn't think Stanton had to go through waivers. I certainly hope he doesn't get picked up. I'm not surprised to see Kostka get the 8th dman spot, good for him.

With Stanton going through waivers it gives the Hawks a chance to possibly make a deal for a vet or future pick. It also gives him a chance to hook up with another team. I would be surprised if no one make a claim for him. It also means the Hawks are confident in the group they have in RFD if someone should get injured.

As far as Beach goes, this could be a great opportunity to reinvent himself as a hockey player. I believe he still is Hawk property till the end of the year.

As for the landscape of the Hawks I believe the current group of prospects like Hayes, Smith, Morin, & Pirri do not fit in the long term plans of the Hawks meaning it would be a surprise if any of them are with the Hawks in 2-3 years. The hawks are looking long term on the next wave such as Danault, Leblanc, McNeil, Nordstrom, TT, etc.....

Nordstrom will be a hawk favorite. A sound player who is easy to coach and rarely makes a stupid play. Just like Kruger Q will trust him at key points in the game as he grows as a player. Also, he will be probably be a 4th line lifer and the cool thing about him is he seems to be okay with that.

I had a feeling this was coming. Beach is still Blackhawks property and under contract. He'll still be a RFA once his deal runs out this season. Once the organization fails to give him a contract this summer, he's a good as gone.

The organization loaning him to HV71 is a signal that they want nothing more to do with him. Its the waiting for the contract to run out that is the formality of the situation.

I think I head you squeal like a teenage girl all the way west of Rockford when Nordstrom wasn't part of the last round of cuts.

Q is going to go with the more experienced of the two. No surprise there.

The idea of him starting in the NHL has grown on me for the past week. Q needs another center to fill in for Handzus so he stays rested. Like Pirri was going to help do that. From what I've read of him from camp, it sounds like he's going to see some time on the PK too.

I see Beach is packing his bags for Europe. I saw that coming.

EDIT: I read that he's on a temporary loan for 3 weeks. I guess when HV71 gets sick of his poop, they can send him back

If you go back the experiment of Saad playing center, it stopped as Nordstrom started to emerge. Q likes flexibility with his roster and Nordstrom gives him that.....plus the chemistry with Kruger on the PK could be huge. Plus like Kruger, he is easy to coach. To bad with Beach, I was really hoping this would be the year. Hopefully he reinvents himself and finds a nice career in Europe. What's the deal with Shalunov?

Haven't heard much, other than that he's in Rockford on a tryout. My guess is that the thing with Beach might have some bearing in relation to a roster spot. I have a feeling we'll hear something about Shalunov in the next couple of days.

Article says Beach is 193 cm tall and weighs 93 kg.

Plays much smaller.

I agree. I just thought Stanton could be reassigned to Rockford without going through waivers.
