Agreed....and that's why he needs to rest and not be rushed. This isn't 2011 where they have skeleton team with massive amounts of unknowns. Other guys should be able to pick up HOssa's slack and let him sit out until Thanksgiving or even Christmas....He may not be any better by then....but he certainly won't be any worse.

Agreed Rain Man...our depth should allow us to spot Zeus and Hoss on a timetable of our choosing. No reason to rush either. We're deep enough to win a lot of games with a mix of the kids and healthy vets....KNOCK ON WOOD.

Oh c'mon. We stroke your Star Wars ego all the time. A one off Star Trek reference here and there shouldn't hurt.

Agreed...and here's my last thought of the day....

Put Piri at 2C for no less then 15 games. This team isnt' going to be dead in the water after 15 games. Lets see what he can/can't do. The whole world knows what Handzus does. Lets see if Piri knowing it's not a game by game situation, can produce anything....I'm not a Piri lover, but it's time to see what this guy can do.

This team won a cup with Handzus at 2c, and no PP in the playoffs. Can't roll that dice again, and expect to come up 7-11.

Wait a minute! I'm still wearing pants! How can you be wearing my pants?

Also, Esplen's been over trolling the Nuck thread.

Don't disagree, but if Hossa is out, your second line is Sharp - Pirri - ??? (if it's Kane - Toews - Bickell on top).

Who is the scorer who become ???

Without Hossa, all of the sudden, that's a lot of recent Ice Hogs on your forward lines: Pirri, Morin, Smith, Nordstrom.

Lines at today's practice include Pirri, Morin, Nordstrom (not on the same line).

Also: Hawks put Mayers' name on the Cup, and Carcillo's. Good / Classy moves both.

Without Hossa the roster does look a lot thinner, but that's just a short-term issue. I would think you'd need to break up the 29-19-88 line to spread around the offense.

29 - 19 - 11
10 - 26 - 88
20 - 65 - 22
28 - 16 - 42

Saad-Kruger - Shaw:

Maybe, but I'd be happy with 35 - 40. It's not just about the offense, it's about the balance between offense, defense, speed and grit that this line offers.
