First, you don't get paid for pre-season games so how could sitting out a pre-season game be considered a kind of punishment? Second, some players skip a pre-season game here or there because it's just a warmup for the regular season. And third, pre-season games mean nothing as there are no points awarded therefore it impact the team in no way whatsoever and makes no sense as punishment.

Amazing isn't it? You would think hockey knowledge could be gained through osmosis. For a guy who spends as much time around hockey as Ek does you would think these types of questions would be elementary.

Apparently it was visible on the ice that Scott was extremely mad about Deviane attacking Tropp...
Fine to Rolston is for not taking him off the ice and leaving him out/allowing him to create a dangerous situation...
Scott Apparently has since admitted that he didn't see the part where Tropp dropped the gloves and started the fight..

So basically what we have learned from Sunday is that John Scott is smarter then both kessel and clarkson combined
He did nothing ageist the rules and two leafs responded by getting suspended lol

They re-write the rules all the time. I would ask why last year two guys got less than 10 games for the samething, but it's the NHL so I don't expect a logical answer.
