I'd be willing to bet any level headed coach in the NHL would put out a scoring line during a situation like that, no point in throwing out more goons to watch more fights. That's something Roy would do. Or Rolston, apparently.

Hey as long as all teams and the NHL are on the same page agreeing that putting a goon on the ice to go try and beat the hell out of star players it's all good. The Leafs are in stellar position to play that way with the rest of the league with the lineup they have - shouldn't be a problem! Be a hell of a fun year!

Player selection? That sounds like a reach since Scott was already on the ice not to mention I had no idea the league had the final say as to what players a team can play if they are healthy and not suspended. Oh well, Shanahan had to be creative as Damien Cox said he should be in the Toronto Star today.
