No touch icing? because players are skating too fast and getting hurt? REMOVE THE TRAPEZOID, or.. keep the Trapezoid, and only let the goalie play the puck outside the trapezoid if it's going to be an icing. Goalie shoots the puck up ice to continue offensive pressure.. and it makes for a small dose of excitement when goalies handle the puck. How often did goalies get injured playing the puck compared to players flying down the ice to the end-boards? If we're so concerned, make the goalie untouchable outside of the trapezoid as well.

it's these crazy things the NHL does that makes me feel so stupid as a fan. I'm the one that doesn't get paid millions to run a professional league yet I pay the idiots that run the league and wear fancy suits to make the DUMBEST decisions and changes to the sport I love. Asinine everywhere.

There is almost no way Gelinas doesn't make this team and certainly over Harrold. Also Lokti has proven a bit more with us at the NHL level then JJ so I think he will get the nod over JJ. Lou also said after announcing the signing that he now has some work to do so guys are going to be on the move by the sounds of it.

That would be nice but I don't think he will be moved because we just resigned him. I think Fayne or Volchenkov if he would waive his ntc. One of Teddy,JJ,is likely gone as Olesz has looked decent and he is someone Pete really likes from his Florida days.

Great rant! (frank)ing Trapezoid is the dumbest thing and if removed would help save a lot of defensemen from getting hurt. More guys have been hurt taking huge hits fishing out dump ins then have guys racing for an icing call. Also how great was it watching a goalie who can't handle the puck try to?
