Thats my plan, pretty happy about my draft, I resisted the homer picks by loading up wtih Avs like I do every year....I pick Johnson thinking he is going to break out, and I am always disappointed

He's not very useful defensively. He's not a center. He's a pure sniper. He's usually pretty invisible until he pops up and scores a goal. The kind of guy who waits around the other team's blue line to try to get a breakaway.

Couldn't be happier with this signing. He will work well in the Devils system.

He has the talent on offense.
He went 20 games between goals with the Wings, hopefully he's better prepared for his 2nd season in the NHL.

Yeah he did some of that. He's got great hands and decent speed and when he was on he had a knack for finding the puck.

He should be good for 20 goals and could get 30 or more if everything goes right. It just helps if his linemates can get back defensively to pick up some of the slack there. Wasn't much of a problem on the Wings with him playing with guys like Zetterberg and Andersson. I don't imagine it will be a big issue on the Devils either.

Considering Nashville spent 2 mil for 4th line guys it's a great deal. Devils are doing a decent job of replacing the kovalchuk pieces

could've received at least a 2nd round pick for him. did we really think we had a shot at the postseason? tis a shame. Could've used another 2nd! Santini looks like he's going to be a solid dman in a few years!

Love the deal. Brunner will help this team. But personally i think he will be on a line with Elias. DeBoer likes what he sees from them in the preseason. and now with Brunner signed, he can work with both of them on a line together.
