i just want some of the guys that are for sure going to the ahl (sestito, pelley, sislo, matteau, janssen, burlon and in severson's case juniors) to be cut so we can see some more solid line combos for our final preseason game
- BDizzlez

Me to I mean Severson has looked good for his age and I could see him in Merrils postion next year but he has slowly tailed off with the competition getting tougher and faster but I don't think he has looked overwelmed yet. It will be interesting to see what happens cause I think Olesz has done a hell of a job and Pete really likes him. Then you have Teddy and JJ who finally are showing some of that potential they had when drafted I mean only good can come from this even if its in the form of a trade.

i honestly think josefson would be a stud right now if it wasn't for all of his injuries but i still think josefson can be an elite 3rd line C

He carries the puck up the ice very similar to the way Gomez did in his Devil days which is what I like we haven't had a guy that good on zone entries since Gomez imo. At this point I would be ecstatic if he could turn into a John Madden time third line center with elite penalty killing skills and enough skill to get a ton of shorties lol no one got shorties like John Madden. I still think JJ might be a little to soft for a role like that though.

Brunner's got to knock it off with the old school hooking slow down from behind. Mystified that he tried it a second time.

Both Sislo's and Zidlicky's goals were really great. Not sure how many games the Devils can win being out-hit and out-faceoffed by such a huge margin though.

They had no answer for the hitting. I fear it might be like this all season. I was hoping to see Clowe get aggressive but with him already hurting himself once this pre season I don't blame him for not being more physica.l Come season time we will need him to step up and be physical so guys aren't running around taking liberties on us like B Schenn who jumps every time he hits and Rinaldo who is just an all around goof.

Weren't they both playing? yeah he won one awesome faceoff but is he good at them? I really have no idea i pretty much assume everyone sucks fiercely besides Zajac. Which is probably trues based on the numbers, especially last night.

That's a good trade for both sides. You guys only gave up a first for him and now you are saying a first and the leading hitter in the NHL is an underpayment?

I don't give a care what we gave up for him, we underpaid for him.
