Apparently the Maple Leaves players will be displaying their new line of swinging purses they will use this year to fend off the big meanies of the NHL.
They come in Pink and Hot Pink. Stay Tuned - tuna99
Guess that means the alarm goes off 6 hrs early....The things you do for a pink purse..

If Clarkson & Kessel suspended & Orr, McLaren & Bolland injured, #Leafs will be left with this opening day: 9F, 7D, 2G & $995k in cap space.
From capgeek. The Leafs could be in trouble to start the season. - Cup 06
They might be able to put McLaren on the LTIR retroactively, can't they? If so, opens up two spots that they could bring up CHL players for a tryout. I'd imagine they look to move Liles before the season starts anyway if they have any hope of signing Franson. |

Leafs site saying it's being aired on Leafs TV. So I'm sure there will be a stream on atdhe.net or first row sports - gosensgo18
Thanks for the update. I probably would have checked, but now knowing its on leafs TV, it is more likely to be available in streams.

I don't understand why Franson has not had an offer sheet. An offer of $13.5m over 4 years (cap $3.65m) only costs a 2nd round pick.

3.65 would be a 1st and a 3rd
Over $3,364,391 to $5,046,585 - 1st round pick, 3rd
So there is that...
also... Franson has not played top minutes against any tough competition really...he has been pretty sheltered. he needs to show he can play top 4 minutes.. he hasnt yet |

It was the knock on him in Nashville too. Gotta worry a bit when Poile moves a big young defenceman. Franson may have improved his game enough to take a bigger role, but it would be good to see how he handles a bigger role first. |

I just got two free tickets for putting my kid into one of the Sensplex hockey camps. Sunday's exhibition game vs Isles. Classy organization! ESPN is right!
Thanks Uncle Eugene! |

His stretch passes are incredible. He still has issues with his positioning from time to time, but he doesn't shy away from the body. He'll be a good top 4 in a few years. He's only 23, so he's likely to improve. |

Seems to have a nice point shot and his joining the offense apears well selected.

I'm just happy he'll be able to push Corvo further down the depth chart....
I still can't believe Murray brought him back. I know PM likes to have a right and left hander on each line, but what does Corvo add to this team? |

How desperate was he to come back here after the way he left?
EDIT: i'm also of the minority that he could work out quite well. He's a puck moving Dman, he could move the puck quite well before. That could work well in a puck moving high tempo system. In a limited role mind you, I remember him defensively... |

Have you seen some of the egregious giveaways he's had tonight? If it wasn't for the best having Ceci take top pairing minutes in Bingo, I'd suggest that we have Ceci take the role of right handed shot on that third pairing. |

Surely Da Costa will be moved sooner than later for a decent pick or prospect, no? |

Does he really have that much value though? I mean he's for sure an NHLer, package would be the best best though. He deserves better than to just spend so much time in the press box though. Still remember that drop pass for Turris in game 4 vs NY. |

Unless someone is looking for a 4th liner who isn't a useless goon these days I think he'll certainly have to be in a package deal. |

Guys like Da Costa and O'brien have very little value on the trade market. You won't get much for guys who can't play at the NHL level for your team. I think Da Costa is seen a bit more enticing to teams, so you may get a similar aged player for him with a low potential ceiling. O'brien deserves a better fate, but right now has no value unless you throw him in with someone else in a deal like Smith. |

Wiercioch and Dacosta have been the most impressive guys in camp thus far. He'll get his shot on the top line to tonight. Teams are interested. Remember he was highly sought after as a free agent. There will be a few teams that will take him off waivers. Knowing that the team is creating a market for him. |

I'd be shocked if Smith was moved. Coaches and team love him and he brings something different to the table that no one else does. There isn't a replacement in the system yet. |
