Playing 8 pre-season games is what sank Montreal in 2011-2012. Forced the team to keep playing split-squad games right up until the regular season, which (frank)s team chemistry in the name of a few extra dollars. That's even more galling considering who owns the Jets.

I'll give Therrien credit: save for giving his top prospects a few more looks, he's tried to ice as close to the regular season lineup as possible recently.

Apparently they did the league a favor playing in the Kraft game earlier in the pre-season. It was supposed to be the Leafs in that game but for some reason they couldn't play.

They have a final pre-season game in Saskatoon this weekend that was supposed to be played last year but the lockout (frank)ed that plan.

finally.....the Jets new owners are ALL about the buck. Everything from building a casino to help the funding, to not mailing out season tickets (you have to download them now), to raising the beer prices again this year (bastards).
