i understand that. but A) Adam French probably can't even cook Kraft Dinner and B) you'd know better than i, but a lot of manpower goes into preparing a meal at a fine restaurant, so i dont sit there with a $22 plate of penne and whine about what the ingredients cost. i know pasta is one of those things that's cheap, but in my experience, most people, especially the non Italians, can't cook up a plate of pasta to save their life.

the difference between expertly prepared pasta and anything else is huge.

while the ingredients may be cheap, the pasta is high end places is made from scratch. try doing that at home.
