At the very least, it wasn't the worst movie of this summer.

My buddy said it wasnt realistic enough (not the actual movies, but without spoiling.. some of the.. "that would never happen in real life" moments). I asked him if he knew he was watching a zombie movie.

It thought it was well put together and had a good "thrill" to it. Not my favorite, but definitely a movie I would recommend to a friend looking to spend a cheap buck and doesnt give a (frank) about REALISTIC zombie movies.

I played roller starting when I was 10. We had the top JO team in the 15-16 division and the top 2 men's teams in the nation at my rink. I played for the NJ Riot as part of MLRH (only NHL rules roller hockey in the USA) for 2 years in college. About 7-8 years ago, maybe even more, I decided to FINALLY play ice hockey. Since I knew nothing about sharpening blades (I'd done public skating a few times with rink skates just to get the feel of skating), I figured T-Blades were a good idea. They were lighter for sure, but they always felt a little choppy. Seemed like the dug in more than other skates.

I played a little roller hockey in high school, and just started ice hockey last November. I got my skates for free, and they seem to be compatible with the ice at the local rink, so that's about all the thought I've given it.

LOL....wasn't "realistic enough".

That's like someone who calls bullpoop on a comic book movie.

I went with a friend who's a big fan of the book. He liked it as a "turn your brain off" action movie and as a nod to the book, even if it wasn't at all similar.

A friend of mine said it perfectly after seeing it; it would've been better if they hadn't called it WWZ. Fans of WWZ went into it expecting WWZ, when it wasn't. Not even close. Zombies didn't run in WWZ. As a standalone zombie action movie, without any thought of WWZ going into it, it was a pretty good movie.

I guess it's like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy movie: It's related, but not the same thing.

Or you can go in expecting a complete trainwreck like I did, tends to make it seem better

Hmmm...I only bought 2 CCM products ever. I actually bought a pair of Vectors, the first skate I can remember which had T-Blades. I could really feel them digging into the ice. Wasn't a very cool feeling. Also had a pair of gloves and, eh, they're a pair of gloves. I was usually more of a Bauer man, but moved onto Easton sticks. But for skates, it's all Bauer for me.
- jmatchett383

i recently switched back to bauer skates after being in ccm tacks over the last 12 years or so. taking some time to break in, but i'm starting to love them. unbelievably light, with a new cowling design and thinner blade. aside from a pair of RBK pants, this is is the only reebok/ccm gear i've ever owned or used. ccm released a new line of goal equipment last year - extreme flex pro - and it's been updated this year. the famous lefebvre family and carey price are behind this line. not really a fan.

Not really a big fan of Giroux playing tonight.

These pre-season games are always full of no-names that are trying to make themselves popular by doing something memorable.

Would rather keep Claude locked in a bathroom stall.

Got to love the NHL. They fined Sabres coach Ron Rolston for putting John Scott on the ice.

Now player substitutions that have been legal for the past 100+ years are subject to fines retroactively.

Want to eliminate the goons like Scott? Make any fights within 30 seconds of a faceoff subject to an automatic game misconduct and 2 game suspension.

I don't understand it either. Carlyle has the last change. He should be fined for the stupidity of putting his best player out against John Scott.

So now 4th lines aren't allowed to be played when 1st lines are on at the same time? Seems like they're making up rules on the fly, imo.

Isn't there already some kind of rule like that? If the NHL would just go back to letting the players police the game. A lot of this crap is ridiculous. Apparently Scott said something along the lines of " you know you and I have to go Phil!" Which I find utterly ridiculous.

Not exactly sure how that is Carlyle's fault. Tropp was more than willing to fight with Devane on the previous shift. There was no reason for Scott to go after anyone. Had Tropp been jumped by Devane, sure, I could see a coach not putting a star player out for the next shift. But Tropp willingly fought and lost.

If that's the case, why wouldn't every team load up on goons to keep the other team's star players off the ice?

There's a rule about instigation in the last five minutes of a game. There's not rule about playing a goon after a fight.

That's my question-Corey Tropp fought and lost and unfortunately got hurt. But he was a willing fighter. Jamie Devane didn't jump him or sucker punch him or anything else that should draw the ire of the Sabres. It was two guys willingly deciding to fight.

Somehow that became to Scott, I have to go and fight Phil Kessel.

They're going to suspend two of the highest paid Leafs forwards for multiple games-Clarkson's gonna get ten and Kessel probably 2 or 3 and they felt the need to slap the Sabres on the wrist, rather than attack the actual problem.

Guys like John Scott being in the NHL in the first place.

Isn't there a rule about starting a fight before the drop of the puck on a faceoff? That's what I was referring to.

As far as the rest of it. That's it in a nutshell. Now if one of Toronto's tougher players such as Clarkson or Colton Orr was running Cody Hodgson or one of the other non combatants on Buffalo. Then Scott's actions would've been the correct response.

We all know that wasn't what it was about. The Coach got fined because of why Scott was put on the ice. It was obvious he was put out for retribution. I think Carlyle made a mistake of putting Kessel out there. But it can be argued that he did that to defuse the situation. And if Buffalo's Coach had done the same, and responded with a similar line of non combatants, it's likely that would've been the end of it.

I think Scott was already out there and was kept on. at least that's what i'm seeing.
