Here's 3 things I'm taking away from tonight's game

-Mez looks like he's being held together with 3M tape rather than the generic brand of last year

-ROAFL is somehow still contending for a spot on the 3rd line and I didn't see him skate on special teams. And I miss Nodl

-it may not be coincidence that schenn is the only kid left unsigned after hiring a major voice in a front office of the organization that traded him to us.

well, that was ... less than impressive.

actually the Flyers have been less than impressive all preseason ... though I admit I've only seen about 1/3 of all the action so far.

hopefully they've been kicking ass the other 2/3 of the time.

That said, this game looked far too much like previous losses to the Devils and Rangers. It's concerning to me, because there was seemingly zero adjustments made.

I counted way too many times the Flyers got control of the puck in their own zone and they had to cross the Red Sea to get it to a forward. The Devils apply a little pressure and it leads to a bad pass/turnover or other bad news.

The faceoffs were encouraging. Raffl looked good after a decidedly meh first period. Giroux looks to be fully healthy and ripped a couple of heavy shots. Emery looked really sharp.
