I'm finished watching. Whoever said lava is out by December nailed it. My favorite was earlier in the game when two flyer forecheckers both went behind the nj net to attack only to run into each other, bam 4 on 3 coming out of the devils zone.

Lol flyers are in pre season form...hockey buzz is already in mid season form... I see what your saying... Lavy is a great coach, but not for this team. I know it's preseason and all but there has been no sustained attack at all

Looked good but it's obvious that lateral movement gives him troubles by that I mean when guys deek on him he seems to get stuck. Other than that awesome

devils and rangers yes. flyers-bolts games are usually high scoring affairs, like a 6-5 loss, or a 5-0 blowout. either way, they all end up in losses.

a few regulars out of the lineup, giroux's first game, voracek got hurt...first game after several days of nothing but camp...yes, those are my excuses.

So how long does Lava have if they play like this is regular season?

They just have far worse defense and goaltending than the Rangers and Devils

Here's 3 things I'm taking away from tonight's game

-Mez looks like he's being held together with 3M tape rather than the generic brand of last year

-ROAFL is somehow still contending for a spot on the 3rd line and I didn't see him skate on special teams. And I miss Nodl

-it may not be coincidence that schenn is the only kid left unsigned after hiring a major voice in a front office of the organization that traded him to us.
