Olesz is making great case for himself along with Teddy JJ and Brunner there just isn't room for Matteau and I think he needs to more physical either way. Urbom will likely be the last d cut. I also think Olesz has the leg up on everyone not named Brunner as Pete really likes him from his Florida days.

With a bunch of these guys playing well thus far in the pre-season, I wouldn't mind trading some players, preferably vets, to get some Forward prospects or a top 3 forward.

And there aren't that many that we would potentially trade really. Majority of our forwards were either just signed/re-signed, and on D Zid was just re-signed( ) and Volch has a NTC. Fayne is the obvious candidate to go, because I don't foresee Sal being moved

Would the return outweigh what he brings to the team anyways ? I don't know if it does. I think we wait till next year and not resign Zid to open up a spot for Urbom/Merril/Severson.

I could see someone being moved 20 or 30 games into the season, but at the moment, the only guy I t would make sense to move(to me at least) is Fayne

Unless its a really lopsided offer, I hope we keep Fayne. Just doesn't seem fair to him that he's only on the trade block because all of our other poopty contracts are immovable.

Yeah, yeah, life's not fair, sports are a business, blah blah blah, but I like Fayne's play and low-key personality a lot.

Not in a good way either he comes of as a wuss to me he is hardly engaging and isn't near aggressive enough or physical enough. He is just going to be a yappy forward like a Matt Cooke
