i have no problem with Tropp fighting Devane, he can normally hold his own, just got the short end of the stick there. just hope he is ok, he cracked his head off of the ice pretty good.

I may have to put Scott at number 1. With Clarkson being 2nd. Scott does not go after Kessel, none of this happens.

It is good to have the QEW rivalry back. Now we just need a TOR/BUF playoff series. But we may have to wait awhile.

Scott did a dumb goon thing. What Clarkson did though was quite probably lose 10 games, for what? I think I gotta give the dumbness to Clarkson

Morning fellas, not sure what happened, have not been watching, been travelling.

Phil Kessel brought a lightsaber on to the ice. John Scott got jealous that he didnt have one. Tried to steal it from sir Phillip. Phillip would have none of it.

Mike or Colin, write a blog about the play in pre season from the Leaf players, grade them who might stick and so on. Another blog on this crap and it will be locked.
- LeafMan

This crap generates alot of hits for Ek. The name of the game is getting alot of hits to the website.

They are doing a good job for Ek.

It is only about 1.5 hours, if you drive fast. So, before 10

A Clarkson suspension could also impact Mason Raymond and Cody Franson, who are both currently without contracts. Raymond, a speedy winger, looked like a good bet to turn his tryout into a one-year deal with the Leafs.

Franson has been sitting out in a bid to get more money from the team in negotiations and that won’t be happening for the defenceman in the near future. Raymond will have to sign at a bargain price, while adding Franson will be less of a priority with cap space so scarce.

He can't count that high anymore. He can't go lower than 4, or he won't understand his ranking.

Eller-Gryba was the only play were I really didn't know which position to take.

I generally go against the grain and think that most of the accidental crap is intentional. I think Steckel meant to hit Crosby. I definitely think Cooke meant to rake the back of Karlsson's leg.

- Aetherial
Yep ,there was an arguement for both sides ,but the optics were bad on that play and the suspension was more of a result of this.As for cooke i agree completely ,he had no reason to lift his leg and stomp down like that .But there was no proof and EM doesnt have the cash to continue his investigation

This Sabres/Leafs feud would really take on a new dimension if the Sabres offer sheeted Franson.

The Leafs have survived without having Lupul in the lineup and point wise, Lupul is far more productive than Clarkson. Clarkson has edge and grit which can be temporarily replaced with Bodie or Colborne. It's funny how some think losing Clarkson for 10 games will devestate this team.

The Leafs look tough this year and have depth. They other teams to hate playing against them... I think thats going to happen this year.

- Captain_Quiffe

Agreed, I would be more pissed if we lost Kessel , Kadri, or Lupul for 10 games....

This made me laugh. I mean just look at his avatar. That guy takes him way to seriously...and probably hockeybuzz in general. Once you dub down your expectations this place is great.
