agee comepletely but give Clarkson some credit here. He was going to help a teammate in danger - he wasn't just getting his "goon on" and being dumb for no reason. I think he should have stayed on the bench - I also think he should be suspended for 10 games (and I fully expect it). Having said that I might have done the same thing and I understand why he did it - it wasn't about "picking his spots".

One of the 2 or 3 youngest teams in the league takes on a team only two years removed from the cup, and they fall apart in the last 10 minutes of game 7... still make it to overtime in game 7.

it's the NHL's fault..... 8 pre-season games.... inviting 58 players to an nhl tryout that only 4 or 5 may actually be in a position to fight for a roster spot.
shorter pre-season (5gms), smaller pre-season rosters (30 players max) and you wouldn't have a nobody on the ice trying to start a fight after he scored a goal.
even as bad as the sabres are 30 is more than enough for tryouts.
