preseason games are not official NHL games although they are regulated by nhl rules the teams themselves arrange the preseason games which is why each team plays the same teams every preseason. teams are allowed to play the maximum of 7 preseason games

Wrong. Because ive witness it, if you swing your stick/club at a tree with too much force, it can wrap around the tree, break in half, and come back at you! Kessel was playing it smart.

Sounds like a legal battle to me. NHL can't have it both ways. They are either league games or they are not. If they are league games, then suspensions must count as part of per-season.

if the player has a carryover suspension from the previous season he can not play in preseason games. the player from the kings who got the same 10 game suspension has played in other kings preseason games

although what clarkson did will carry a suspension you have to admire him sticking up for his team mate he saw a player who was way over his head and came to his aid...you have to give him credit for that

the kid from detroit that got suspended.... his suspension is definitely being served during pre-season. i recall the article saying suspended for 4 preseason games.
