Ashton has made it through his play, imo, helps with a little more grit than Colborne would. Raymond now needs to be signed to give them a little extra offence in Clarkson's absence, balances it out a bit.

He's had an outstanding pre-season and with Clarkson getting suspended, we're short on wingers.

I was 51% Reimer 49% Bernier before last night....now I'm 60% Bernier 40% Reimer. Either I way I am 100% not worried about our goaltending....when was the last time we could feel that way?

Clarkson missing 10 games will suck....but from what I've seen so far it really isn't going to suck that much lol he really hasn't done a whole lot in these preseason games that have made me think oh damn we'll really miss him. He's looked about as useful and effective as Ashton - so it's a wash and we'll win the day!

I am guessing he gets 4-5 games. Remaining 3 pre-season, and 1 or 2 regular season games. And he deserves it. I understand he is not a fighter, and that was a ridiculous mismatch, nut there are other options. The stick crap has to stop.

one of the draws of Clarkson is that he doesn't look out of place riding shotgun on any of the top two lines, can open space, and goes to the dirty areas of the ice with regularity.

Having said that, JVR looks in All-Star form right now; just looks completely dominant out there this pre-season.

When will we hear all the suspensions?

What happened last nite would never have happened in the regular season.

It occured for the simple reason that neither Orr or McClaren was dressed. If this was the regular season, soon as Scott came over the boards, Carlyle would have tapped either Orr or McClaren or both.

Preseason sucks. Simple as that.
