I'm not really sure what happened before but:

I'm not sure Kessel should be getting suspended. Maybe a fine but that's a mis-match of epic proportions, he's protecting himself from a guy who makes his living off fighting.

The kessel vs flynn fight was kind of a joke. I know most people think it's impressive but Flynn's half the fighter Kessel is, didn't really expect him to fight in the first place.

Nice tilt from from Bernier, although I'm not sure they really needed to do that but I won't complain, it was fun to watch.

I really admire what Clarkson did sticking up for his star player, even if it means getting suspended. Better he be suspended then something serious happen to Kessel IMO.

I'm not sure which leafs forward it was that was fighting Ruhwedel but that was kinda weak.

Bottom line, I really wish John Scott wasn't on the team, the whole situation is kinda embarrassing and really didn't need to happen in a pre-season game. On the other hand, probably the most entertaining pre-season game i've ever seen so...

Also not sure what the hate on Foligno is, I don't see him on the ice?

Their is a rule book in the NHL..... a code that the Fighters are supposed to live by. Scott just threw it aside and pissed on it, mainly because he couldn't read it.


Fighters do not fight elite skilled players and you are supposed to wait till the other guy squares up. He did neither. Scott is a joke. He's worthless and a detriment to his team. Or and/or Mclaren will fill him in.

Oh he lost it alright. I mention earlier I think he's taking some aggression from losing his grandmother seemed to really hit him hard and he is human.

I like to think I'm above blindly defending something. Which is why I think Kessel may get a fine for the 2nd slash and spear, and I won't be upset if he does.

And if Orr did what Scott did I would totally expect the other guy to do what Kessel did.

Carlyle put Kessel out there and you guys did have the last change. Why is no one pointing this out ? He was well aware that John Scott was out there but he opted to play Kessel anyways. They shouldn't waive clarksons suppression. Phil should of manned up instead of running away swinging his stick. Would this even be an issue if Phil decided to drop the gloves or would we all still be arguing over it?
