Kessel should not get a suspension for the slash, that's fine, he got him in the shin guards. But, the spear after things were settled down and while Scott was already tied up should get 5 games. It's that kinda crap they need to get out of the game.

It will be pretty brutal for Leaf fans if Kessel is also disputed. The Clarkson suspension is 10 games and not negotiable.

I believe all suspensions are counted against regular season games. Not 100% certain but pretty sure.

Kessel will be fine. They'll take into account that the refs only thought it warranted a minor. Obviously he had to do something to protect himself.
