what a (frank)en poop show eh! i loved it. kessel deserves to get some punishment, but god damn awful scott goes after someone half his size. clarkson will be suspended for coming off the benches, but i don't blame him since orr or mcclaren wasn't dressed for the game and he wants to stick up for his teammate.

for clarkson, it's no good since he's brought into toronto as a top 6 and paid like a top 6 forward. it would be different if per say brown jumped off the bench to stand up for eberle.

Team effort, but they did play a role, albeit not the bigger one. They did what they were supposed to do, and fortunately for Toronto, it worked out for them.

With a young roster like Edmontons, and the skill among them, there should be a couple of guys making sure other teams don't take liberties.

Anyways, I got RNH and Hall in my pool and was really hoping the Oilers would have a good season. They still can. Hopefully the GM is making some phone calls right now for some depth, especially up the middle.

I've been saying this for 3 years. I keep getting dismissed as wanting a goon to sit on the bench only to play a few minutes each game. I've been advocating for trading offensive assets and prospects to get big, skilled guys like Burns. Yes, it'll cost one of the wonder kids, but then we can have a winger who will create more space for the line mates and also be productive. I'm deeply concerned that one of our top kids will get injured by teams taking liberties because no one is on the team to act as a deterrent to the opponents. It doesn't just mean getting mugged; our small forwards are easily pushed around and that alone could lead to a serious injury.
MacT knows better----get off your butt and get some size for the top 2 lines.

Guys like perron, hall and yakupov arent pushovers by any means. but they're also not really true 'push back' guys either. Or even capable of really putting alot of physical pressure on opposing defenders.

If our muscle or grit in our top 6 consists of david perron et al; i dont think there's any doubt we're clearly lacking size and strength in our top 6
