I actually like those lines a lot. On forward we have a ton of depth, however we need a physical 4th line and Josefson does not fit in there. Gionta is a much better player in that role and has great chemistry with Carter and Bernier. Don't see any reason for Gionta to not be on the team, people forget he was on pace for 25-30 points last season as were the rest of that line, along with that he led the team in hits. We are definitely looking at a team with 3 2nd lines with the kind of depth we have. Honestly if we can make a trade at the trade deadline for a true top line player like Vanek, there is not a team that can stop us in the East. A good defense and great goaltending. That is all we are missing IMO, that star ppg player who can score 35+ goals.

I've been to a few Nets games too and the upper bowl concourse is insanely crowded during halftime. Lower concourse is much better and has some navigation room. Last night wasn't the best indication since it wasn't a sell out.

Lots of Isles fans out there already though, I really think they can nurture a fan base in due time.

Type of contract doesn't have anything to do with waivers. The difference between a one-way and two-way contract is a one-way pays the player the same money no matter where they are playing, and a two-way pays them less if they aren't in the NHL.

Waivers are determined by a combination of the age of a player when he signed his first contract and the number of games/seasons they have played.

All this to say that Gio would have to clear waivers. Not sure about Larsson(too lazy to check)

It'll be interesting to see what the league does with Kessel. Obviously in any other situation those are multiple game suspensions each. But he's a smallish star player that was attacked by a 6'8'' goon. At least there was a good reason for Clarkson to leave the bench. He's too good for a 10 game suspension though, especially with that contract.
