That's so far from the truth! The kid is talented, he's shown that in Junior and at the Memorial Cup when they won. Reminds me of Todd Bertuzzi, who didn't hit his stride until six or seven years after he was drafted.

Saw that. With no RNH or Gagner to start the season the Oil are extremely thin down the C.

That said, we've got guys dropping like flies. I'm surprised it took us a full 3 games before someone injured themselves blocking a shot (Schroeder). If it's possible to completely hate a coach prior to the regular season even started, that's where I am with Tortorella.

From the portions I watched he looked rather detached, aloof. IMO he's looked like that for most of the time he's worn a Canuck uniform. We've seen flashes of great skill/toughness and automatically project that he can do that consistently over 82 games but he strikes me as a moody player and with players like that inconsistency is their hallmark.

I only watched a few minutes in the second, Schroeder looked good until he broke a foot, Lack is terrible behind the net, Shinkaruk was buzzing loved his energy but no real impact - him and Nurse seemed to have a little rivalry?

What little I saw of Lain looked good, guy can fly when he gets up to speed.
