Nucks won't have the puck much tonight, your dmen won't be pressured a whole lot. Horvat has been just ok, sub-par last game IMO. - LeftCoaster
I think sub par is off but he hasn't wowed anybody but Boinker and Esplen |

Joakim Ericsson, Darren Archibald, Henrik Tommernes, Alexander Mallet, Peter Andersson, Alex Biega, and Adam Polasek. All sent to Utica
The contract Lack signed - one way in the second year - is looking pretty good for the stork. If Lack could be sent down, you think Ericsson would be around? |

My Grandmother could be out there skating for the Canucks and they'd be impressed. |

I doubt it. Lack is waiver exempt right? Not like the contract is large enough to cause a hit against the cap |

No surprising cuts. Mallet is another one of those guys that many here hd pegged into the lineup after last season. Lack deserved it over Eriksson despite his contract IMO. Two-way has nothing to do with waiver eligibility from what I've read, it's just how much the player gets pad. One way deals get paid the same amount no matter what league they're in. |

Canucks should let him play half of each of the next 2 seasons and then signed him to a 42mil contract. That's good business |

Mallet feels like a plug and play energy guy, like volpatti and pinizotto. And Wiese.
Haven't seen him skate much though - is he decent enough to slot in on the 4th line later in the season? |

I've said numerous times that DW and Setisto were going to be the 4th line wingers. Both guys can skate. And I believe having a coach who wont bench them for physical play can only help. Mike S. Will be the 13th forward. Also a no brainer IMO. |

Shinkaruk with Kesler on the second line. - Nucker101
I would love nothing more than to get rid of David Booth, and his vagina, to have that kid play!!! Providing he earns it, which hasn't happened so far. But I can see the fire in him. |

Lack will make 750k where ever he plays. Eriksson makes 70k in the AHL. I think that plays factor. Either way, I wouldn't expect these two goalies to make life tough for Lu. |

I don't think that matters much. If they are even it might be the deciding factor. Like I said is Lack waiver exempt? |

But what do you do with Booth and his mangina? Pull a Manny and say that it would be unsafe for him to play and force him on LTIR?? |

I thought Andersson played a lot better than Alberts, too bad he got sent down. |

He left the ice. He is clearly hurt. I gaurentee he misses the 1st 10 games at least. I actually could see a compliance buyout of booth next summer |

I am not sure re waiver exempt but think games played (or dressed) is a factor. But, if a player makes more than 1 mil (ish, can't remember the exact salary), it doesn't matter if the player is playing on the nhl or ahl team, his salary counts against the cap. Guess this is the Wade Redden rule. |

950k is the number. Anything over 950 counts against cap. If the canucks were to demote Richardson it would count 200k against cap as his salary is 1.15m |

When Booth wasn't ready to go at the start of training camp, I thought it was all part of the plan for him to be injured at the start of the season and free up some room for the 9 game tryouts for Gaunce, Shinkarak and Horvat. Guess it is all unfolding as GMMG planned. |

Didn't know it was only the difference that counted against the cap, that doesn't sound so bad. |
