During an 82 game season... Hank in net 3/4 of those games.... They finish ahead of us in the standings.

We have questions on the first line, D & in Goal... They dont have any of those.

They have a better coach & he will open that O, they can score and they will.

I hate em, but lets be honest

Yeah that was a dumb comment. I am pretty sure most Islander fans did their part and voted. When you have Democrats calling every senior saying their taxes would rise and Charles is a crook of course Seniors are going to vote no.

i really don't see what's so good about your offense. i mean, yea you guys were ROLLING at the end of last season but it's tough to carry that over into next season and hit the ground running. i mean, literally all your players were playing the best they have ever played in their careers and your offense was fluid and the chemistry was impeccable. but again, after an offseason with new players, you can't expect your team to come out playing like they did last year. i think the preseason game yesterday was a little bit of an indication of that.

and again, people always say that under torts, the rangers played a 100% defense-first system that focused 0 on offense and yet you guys only scored 8 or 9 more goals than us. is it really that farfetched to think that under AV, we might score more than you this year?

Did you ever think that maybe these players are finally coming into their own? These are not old guys at the back of their career. Most haven't even come close to their prime yet. I think Moulson will have a better season than last which was arguably his worst of the past 4 years. JT will improve from last year as he always does. Grabner should be the same. KO will score more than 4 goals and the younger guys will be a year older. Its not far fetched to think our offense will be better than yours as it has been the past couple of years.

well, besides last season where you guys scored 9 more goals than us, we've had the better offense:

http://www.nhl.com/ice/st...tandingsGoalsFor&type=CON

your guys might be coming into their own, and they probably are, but there's always someone slumping. at the end of last season, it seemed like no one was slumping for you guys.

i'm kinda talking about experience because the rangers went from everybody playing beyond amazing in 2011-12 when we finished 1st in the east and made the ECF run to a bunch of people slumping and just never finding the same rhythm. it's just a very possible option.

i guess call me bias but a lineup of nash, stepan, callahan, hagelin, brassard, kreider, pouliot, zuccarello, d. moore, boyle, dorsett, richards overall, to me, looks like it has more balance and depth than your lineup.

You guys are the better team I am not arguing this but we have the edge on offense even if its a slight edge. All in all both of us can make the playoffs again or both can miss. Our division is that wide open. Who knows who will slump/ injuries and whatever. Hell the devils can surprise everyone and beat both of us out for the last playoff spot (doubtful) but possible.
