i listened to Radio feed for bit. sounded like Schneider playing well and thats why its 3-0.
Donovan seems to be really noticeable for us on Defense. Thats a great sign.

Yep...I've watched parts of two exhibition games, and I still come to the same conclusion....they need at least one, if not two more grown adults with at least a little bit of talent to play defense for this team, or it's going to be a LONG year....and it still might be, even if they get those players, should they continue to sport the "why skate backwards?" game plan. |

OR they need better defenseman than the likes of Macdonald, Carkner, Strait and Hickey..i'm more worried about them that I am the likes of Donovan |

Yeah, those guys aren't any good, either....MacDonald is OK, and Carkner is what he is (should not be taking a regular shift- he serves one purpose only, and it's not defense), but the others are useless. The problem is that the rest (other than Hamonic and Visnovsky) are literally rookies. Talented or not, they're still going to learn on the job- which is why they need more veterans, because if all they have, save two, are rookies and cr*p, they're screwed.....especially with their tendency to play pond hockey a lot of the time. |

Yeah, me too....but it'd sure be nice if one of our defensemen would be able to waste someone off camera like that....just saying. |

They looked like the franking Rangers today with no offense. Part of it had to do with Schneider having a hell of a game. Well get them oct 4th |

PMB didn't look good at all today. JT looked good and Moulson wasn't bad either he just got robbed 5 times. Missed Grabners PKing and breakaways today. |

THE SIGHT LINES ARE BEYOND TERRIBLE for hockey.
I sat center ice and had an obstructed view of the corner. The metal rail along the glass also takes away from the game. Also consider the concourse was just as if not more difficult to get through with the crowd than Nassau. They need to stay in Nassau never has it been more apparent and possible than now. |

I heard the sight lines in the Kansas City arena are awesome! That was your other option, it's not a finished product; they have two years to make it better. |

There is also Seattle...take your choice Kansas City, Seattle or Brooklyn ? ...Barclays Center management said at the press conference that they are working on having a better customer experience. |

I'm calling Bull Shat on this one. Nets seat 18,000 for basketball and never heard a peep from anybody about getting around being difficult. Yet a much smaller crowd for the hockey game and it was a mad house???? Either you have never been to a sold out game at the coli or you're a 600lb islander fan that is bitter they are moving to Brooklyn.. |

The vibe I got tonight is that Griffin Reinhart starts the season with #Isles. Have 9 games to make a decision. |

I heard a lot of this from the Islander fan friends I have who were there.
Personally I think it's a right of fans to complain about the new venue and not have it thrown in their face all time that it's better than being in Kansas City or Seattle all the time.
If the puck is being played in front of the penalty box, all 15,000 fans in the arena have the right to see it, not just the 8000 on the other side of the building.

It's pre-season, a clean page and dreams are alive. From your lips to gods ears, I hope. Let's hope he's more like PA than say...Rob Schremp, who also had great hands...
Why do you assume Strome is gonna be a wing? Yes, he will be the next most talented forward but like JT, he's a playmaker. They gave up on Bailey at center but too soon to assume Strome will follow suit. I wouldn't have minded seeing Bailey given a real shot on 1st line with JT. - jmo16
Have to agree with you, I dont see anyone in the system being better suited for the second line center role then Strome.
