The guy should've just turtled. When he went after him with the his stick after Clarkson had him tied up it was unjustifiable even though he was just taunting him more than anything. Wonder how it will play out suspension wise besides the obvious 10 game for Clarkson? Preseason stupidity |

Are you kidding. The biggest, dumbest goon in the league goes after Kessel.. That's class.. Kessel should have broke his ankle.. (frank)in goon move.. He will get his. |

First swing fine the second while Scott was already engaged with another leaf is what makes him look bad and that will cost him a couple of games. Also Scott didn't throw one punch at him, so lets not act like he did it to save his life. I've see non fighter get pummeled before by fighters and this wasn't even remotely close. Kessel ran away which is fine in this case |

JT would have dropped him and then would have scored a hat trick in the next ten minutes |

Are you kidding? It is never okay for a player to swing his stick at another player. Never. Under no circumstances. If you argue that there are times its justified, you already lost the argument.
Maybe Scott was wrong for going after Kessel. But, Kessel could have turtled, could have skated away (i'm sure he's a better and faster skater than Scott). He didn't have to swing his stick at Scott no less than two or three times with the intent to injure Scott. He certainly didn't have to spear Scott as Scott was tied up with Clarkson as Kessel was skating off the ice. |

Its ok for the biggest goon in the league to try to get his hands on one of the top scorers.. You have your views, I have mine I guess.
So maybe Scott was wrong, But Phil was totally wrong, he should have turtled and took a couple of very painful kidney shots.. Imagine not.. |

I don't agree what with Scott did at all, but Kessel shouldn't get a free chance to swing at him especially when he is being tied up |

The first slash ok that was in self defense the second one??? He circled behind him while he was engaged with at least one other player and took another healthy swat at him. How was that self defense? The funny thing is Kessel will get suspended and Scott will probably get nothing since he didn't even throw a punch at kessel all he did was drop his gloves and try to grab him |

I hear what you're saying but at the same time from the beginning we said Scott looked foolish for going after Kessel. We never said Scott wasn't being a D-bag |

Stupid preseason bs. Kessler should've just turtles and called it a day. Wtf was Carlyle thinking sending his top line out there after the earlier fight? Pretty stupid if you ask me. Even if there were twop points at stake I'd think twice about it. |

I would be furious believe me, but I doubt JT would drop to a classless level and throw that second slash and that spear |

So, by your rationale, every time a goon attempts to engage a non-goon in a fight, its okay for that non-goon to swing for the fences with his stick and try to injure the goon because its "self-defense"? That means you justify a guy using a stick as a weapon, provided its in "self-defense"? Its hockey, not the Greek invasion of Troy. Using a stick to try to injure someone is acceptable under no circumstances. |

I can see your soap box from here. Slashed his leg..imagine.
The (frank)in goon you guys had a couple of years ago would have jumped the boards and tried to eat his face off, don't get all high and mighty with me. |
