As much as I don't like seeing a guy lose his job due to a slash from a teammate, I'm hoping that McLaren is sent down.

I'd rather see Colborne make the squad.

And since I'm guessing Raymond has earned a spot, I just don't think we have alot of extra roster spots kicking around.

- Atomic Wedgie

he has done nothing and should not be playing for the leafs.

marlie bound he is.

So what you're saying is bernier will be ready to go in 28 days?
- burn

No I'm saying he'll be a bit leaky one week per month so you might wanna go with Reimer that week

did kadri really say that? if so, good for him.
i like the nuge but man, he hasn't done enough to get that kind of contract. there are a lot of people saying it will be a steal by year 3 but what if it isn't? shultz has already proven he isn't loyal by bailing on the ducks and he'll want his big payday as well. yakupov is russian so you can't predict anything. the oilers biggest problem is their bottom 6 depth and defensive depth. if they invest too much in top end talent, they are screwed.

These beauts found a loophole in the 2 min penalty for removing your helmet rule

- poohcrumbs

they'll close that loophole quickly.

One could say that by signing their top guns long term, at a decent price in some cases, it'll be easy for them to trade one to improve their defense.

I assume he's laughing at his own situation. Some reporter asks him what he thinks about RNH's deal; his response is pretty funny.

I loved the answer, what, not allowed to have any sense of humour as a hockey player?

I think the bridge vs. long term issue is pretty simple. Teams will force the bridge contract unless
a) the player is a superstar; or
b) you're a smaller market and/or less attractive market and need to lock up talent early.

They bridged Gagner.

They don't (frank) around with the guys they see as their franchise players

Love the story on tsn of the two goons removing eachothers helmets to circumvent the rule
- mykokes

We'd pull that poop in Jr all the time. Extra penalty though.

wonder if really cares, or does it motivate/demotivate to see guys of similar ilk signing long term contracts for more $$ then what he just got.

really sick of the Sens fans crying about refs and BS - they know that's our turf! Find your own thing to suckhole about and leave the refs to us! bastards!

I thought the "refs are against a us" is a Habs fan routine?

No - I mean they like to (frank) with us so they whip that out every now and again - but there thing is "we should be able to draft all the French kids first! "

Meh, considering he whined so much before signing his contract about him not getting the kind of contract RNH just signed...

I don't know, for most hockey players the less they say the better.

Oh please, everyone knows the refs are always against Toronto. It's a fact. You keep reminding us every game.

And I've never heard or seen the bolded part.
