he's making the team. He's what they should have on the 4th line.

I was wondering the same thing..Ashton has done nothing to earn a spot in the NHL...Totally useless last night..

Look, I'm not saying he's gonna play with Kadri, but he's going to be on the 4th line... certainly ahead of Colborne anyway.

He's developed into a solid grinder who can skate, hit, and fight. And he might actually score 1 or 2 goals with his stick rather than his ass like McLaren.

Of Orr and McLaren are both healthy, he's a scratch, but if McLaren isn't ready for camp, Ashton is in for sure.

Simmons on TSN radio said that he was told by a leafs exc that a deal for Frattin for Bernier was agreed to in Jan, but LA backed out last min due to the Quick injury. When Quick returned they started talking again but then Frattin went under the knife in early Feb.

Its awesome that for the first time in a while, the leafs debate is over who can fill the bottom six. There isn't any question about the top end. 5 / 6 of our top 6 are on espn's top 100.

I like the idea of the third line being
raymond, bolland, kuli.

I think that the bottom 6 will rotate to some degree throughout the season. Im mostly concerned about franson and, the leafs dressing a 20 man roster. I'd say kuli, liles or franson should be traded. I like them all and think that each one brings something else to the table. Liles, who brings the least will get the leafs the least.

dont get me wrong, i think the same thing of espn's hockey coverage. They still had 3 players in the top 30 for goals last year. Clarkson and Lupul were not one of them either.
