That picture where they are reaching for each other's helmet is SO ghey.

Would have been better if they started smashing each other over the head with each other's helmut.

i know.. i like gardiner... his one big issue is that he stops skating the way he can at points.. i think that might be what pisses carlyle off about him too.

when he is skating hard all game he is deadly

That's the problem though - nobody else can take the minutes. Sure, Carlyle says he'd "ideally" play phaneuf 23 mins a game, but he can't. Doesn't have another option.

He's #1 PP and PK, and the top shutdown guy for all defensive starts.

something to consider is that he's only making $5.5M this year... not 6.5.

- Big_Lightnin

ya but it the cap hit not the actual salary he is receiving

I doubt he'd pass up 8 yrs x $6M.
- Big_Lightnin

is this his cap hit or his actual salary?

now, is that something I'd love to see happen? not really, but it gets it done and they can work on who's going to play with him instead of trying to find somebody better than him to replace him - which, I might add, is pretty (frank)ing hard to find.

I'm probably out on an island by myself but I haven't liked what I've seen from Raymond. It's early though.

And some quiet time on an island actually sounds good right now.

Along with some good, wasted plays are there as advertised.

Haven't noticed the falling/diving so much ... in the limited time I've watched.

At best I see low risk/low reward so far.

Hey guys, realize this is not hockey related. But I need to purchase a 2nd car. Was looking at some used ones, and have my eye on a 2006 Infiniti G35X.

Wondering if anyone has any experience with this car/model, or have heard of any common issues etc?

Edit: I have done my online research, and have not come across any really bad common complaints. A few intriguing ones about excessive oil consumption and engine failure...but did not seem to be a very common issue.

Sportsnet is saying we already have a 925k deal in place, pending he makes the team. He'll probably be signed sometime closer to next weekend.

We signed Clarke MacArthur for 1.1 3 years ago and that turned out great. Raymond could be the same. Also replaces this speed that everyone seems to think we've lost.

I drive a G37x. The G35X is the same engine as the maxima, great engine, reliable, plenty of power and not too bad on gas. You'll enjoy the all-wheel drive in the winter, works great. Mine runs on premium gas...not cheap.

I've had mine for almost 2 years, NO issues, running great. Just expensive to service but most cars are these days.
