From the blog:
An update for my readers:
Eklund and the admin staff have provided me with the opportunity to take on more blogs here at HockeyBuzz which I am greatful for. I will be continuing to write on a full time basis for the Flames, but will also write a few pieces on the Leafs as well.
There will be no interruptions in my Flames content, as we discussed that it remains my number one priority here, and I hope you have all noticed my commitment to the site since starting over a year ago. Since my first few guestblogs which I wrote for the Flames, the interest in the blog has risen quite a bit and is now one of the more popular reads on the site!
I'd like to thank all my readers so far and welcome any new ones as I start assisting Mike with some Leafs articles. Mike has been doing a solid job in his coverage and I will not be competing with him, it will be nothing more than to provide more content for the site.
Thanks again, and happy reading! - Colin Dambrauskas
Good for you Colin! All the best...
Don't forget where you came from though

where the leafs are now is where the flames will be in 3-4 years, thats my guess.
burke is going to make a splash, there will be some question marks but it will all work out in the end.

I think we need to see the leafs make the playoffs in a full season before we can say they are 4 years ahead of the flames .... I do like their acquisitions in the off season ... Might be enough to get them in |

So random question - what are you guys hoping for production out of Baertschi this year? Keeping realistic expectations given the team...
Ill say 20 goals, 24 assists. |

Worst avatar ever....
Only thing that could make it worse is if it was a nucks/leafs combo... |

I was actually google searching "worst hockey avatar pictures" and Oiler/Oiler combos kept coming up...so I gave up.... - Colin Dambrauskas
Lame attempt.
But in seriousness, you do a good job at blogging for a bad team... |

Man you guys have been awefully chatty in the past week! I think Baertschi will be VERY slow out of the gates this year, but as the team develops chemistry together and figures out Hartleys plans, I could see him starting to light it up. I prediect that he goes on a 5-6 game scoring streak |

I think it all depends who he's going to be playing with... I could see him developing some real chemistry with Galliardi and Hudler. I don't expect 60 points out of him, but 45 could be doable. |

I agree, Id like to see him keep playing with Hudler, they compliment each other well. Still waiting to get a full assessement on Galiardi at center though, as I havnt seen enough of him yet to really put in my two cents. |

Do we need to see this in every thread? It's not clever and it's not funny.
This is the only warning I'll give you, comments meant purely to incite will result in a ban. - jtommyt
Can you come over to the Florida thread bud? |

I think Baertschi is going to be more of an assist guy, at least to start his career. More Tanguay, less Iggy. 25-30 assists, 15-20 goals.

I like his speed and work ethic. He's the guy that will go in and dig the puck out so Baertschi and Hudler can make their magic happen. |

Make this your avatar, please. i can't stand seeing that half blue turd next to the half flame.

I hate Lanny for almost a year now, but given that Ek's asked me to write for both teams it seems fitting ...itll grow on you. Just be comforted knowing I would never write for the Canucks or Oilers |

I think he flourishes with Hudler who sees the ice very well and can dish him the puck. I think he'll come out with a respectable number of goals this year but like I said, likely a slow start. |
