Not 100% on it, but I think you can play two overage seasons(21 being the maximum age). Its up to the team though, because they can only have a certain number of overage players.

Edit: Nope only one overage season, but Bell was 19 last year(born in August 1993)

I know that these guys played exciting hockey, but the Devils will need to rely on stingy defense to win games here, and if we insert three guys with very limited NHL experience, we'll lose games on someone's errors.

Gelinas earned the first spot. Merrill and Urbom will be there for injuries, Urbom probably for a 5th/6th role and Merrill for a 2nd pairing role.

While I can't express how much hatred I have for Zidlicky being on the team, one at a time is the better philosophy on defense.

Chances are thats what happens. I also feel this year we wont have to worry as much with making one little mistake like we did last season. Schneider will be able to bail us out on most cases where as Moose just couldnt be relied upon to make that timely save. This should let the guys play a looser game knowing if you do (frank) up its not guaranteed to end up in the back of our net.

Who cares we already lose games on someone's errorrs. I'd rather that someone actually have a chance to learn and improve. Two rookies should be on the team. Have a vet as the extra for injuries/bad play sub. But your probably right we will more than likely only play 1.

So is the game on TV tonight or still just going to be streamed from someone's website. I know they are in Brooklyn tonight that's what makes me think it might be on tv.

Saturday’s game will not be televised. The Devils’ radio broadcast will be streamed on wfan.com and newjerseydevils.com.

I have not heard for certain, but I believe the Islanders will be streaming the in-house scoreboard video on newyorkisanders.com again. I will double check on that and update when I know for sure.

Im not a big fan of their team. I like the 2 Staals but I feel like what happened to Vinny is happening to Eric and we still got to see how that defense is going to look and if Skinner and Ward can stay healthy. There are way worse teams for sure but I am not sold on them having a better season this year.

Edit: I think they have just had Martys number more so then gave us trouble and now we have Schneider who gives us a different style in net a safer one so some of these teams that have had our number might not anymore but its possible for sure.
