Maybe give RNH 4 years in the NHL and see what happens?
P.S. East coast bias.
P.P.S. He's overrated. I'm not saying RNH = Tavares of today... I'm saying that at similar points in their careers, they were basically even. - laughs2907
how exactly is Tavares overrated?

JT does it alone though, if the best option RNH had to feed the puck to was Moulson he may have had only 4 assists to match his 4 goals. JT is a beast! - ky678468
Yeah, Boyes was terrible before joining Tavares. Moulson was no slouch either... He put up great numbers in the AHL, and showed great promise when coming to the NHL... Not to mention that both players were/are also older/more mature than the guys RNH play with. |

Shoulder injury may have something to do with that. RNH suffered that in junior, and finally has it repaired. He ready for him to rip the NHL a new asshole. - laughs2907
No, he's not. Which is why he is injured to start the season. |

He's not. This guy is clearing making stuff p to justify this.
Absolutely shocked at this contract considering last year, I am not going to say its bad yet because he has huge potential, but man...
I would of waited. |

Are you suggesting the Oilers should lock up Boyes and Moulson to $6million/year so that RNH has quality linemates like Tavares? Maybe you can trade Hall and Eberle for them. |

Kane and Toews led the Hawks to a Stanley Cup in the last year of their rookie contracts. If RNH can lead the Oilers to a Cup and pick up a Conn Smythe along the way this season, then by all means, pay him $6 million a year. - iknowbest
Supporting cast had nothing to do with that I suppose. |

Please tell me how...
Tavares after 3 years was better than Hall after 3 years
Tavares after 2 years was better than RNH after 2 years
Tavarers after 1 year was better than Yakupov after 1 year
Please tell me... I would love to hear this... |

maybe you should watch Tavares play before making ridiculous statements.
Moulson has no skating skill, can't backcheck or play defense but can make a living in front of the net. Boyes had 7 goals and played himself onto the 4th line in Buffalo prior to signing with the Isles and was awful defensively, continually turned the puck over, would miss wide open opportunities and was let walk at the end of the year with no replacement for him at the time, without even a contract offer. That should tell you how good he was.
Moulson and JT have chemistry, but JT is the one doing all the heavy lifting - if Moulson went somewhere else he'd be screwed and it shows because he has not produced the few times they dropped him to the second line.
Are you comparing Hall with Boyes or Moulson? Because I'd say he's way better than Moulson and comparing him to Boyes is hilarious.
Can I have some of what you're smoking?

Right.....Yak is capped. He's a Russian kid who is a real threat to bolt if he doesn't get what he feels he deserves. Also, pretty hard to cap the kid if he turns out to be the best of the bunch. - golfingsince
Nice generalization... How is Yak a threat to leave? Were you talking to him? Oh he's Russian!!! Obviously he will leave if he doesn't get what he wants... |
