Anyone get a chance to read Esplen's article?

What's the deal?

Then the Caps....

He was constantly taking shots at Todd as well so I saw this coming. I respected him for his daily blogs, but wasn't a fan of his style at all.

Agreed. Thought we were gonna replace the goalie controversy with a blogger controversy.

Edit: Great, now Todd's not blogging Canucks either.

Really well done Colin. Great blob.
Ya know if your bored our guy only blogs but weekly....
not sure if we will see a regression from the laffs (meant with love) their young guys are looking good and they have some veteran leadership. Last post season was scary, they put that together for even 60 games and they will be trouble for a lot of teams and make the playoffs. Neither the smurfs nor Sens( sorry Ottawa) could handle the way they played us in the first round.

A lot of things here make sense...fans of other teams (nucks/habs/sens) laugh at the 5+million price tag for Clarkson, how has never even had 50 pts.

What he does bring to the table is 25-30 goals, 40-50 points, and a pile of shots, hits and fights. Give me this guy over a guy like Daniel Briere any day of the week!

I get what you're saying... but 5+ mil is a tough price tag for 40 points...
I think he will get around the 50 mark this year, but still.

From a Flames perspective... we were paying Jokinen 3mil per. He had 54pts in 10/11 and 61pts in 82 games in 2011/2012.

People were outraged when Calgary was paying him 5mil.

Clarkson has been pretty bad in preseason, albeit just preseason. At this point i'd rather Raymond play 2nd line with JVR and Kadri than him and have Clarkson with Kulemin and Bolland. Problem is, is that Leaf fans would freak if we put 5.25 on the 3rd line lollll. Tbh, i don't care i just wanna see us dress the best team we can. Don't mind the collective toughness, grit and puck possession of Kulemin Bolland and Clarkson either.

Nice job, enjoyed reading this one. I've been reading more and more blogs from other teams due to the lack of one for the sabres lol

Edit: oh well, i guess everyone comes to AB for work

As Alberta welcomes more and more immigrants, there might be some Flames fans intelligent enough to assume these roles. It will likely take a few years though; be patient.

I have to say, nice job on the well written blog. Certainly captured a nice overview of the Leafs camp to this point.

While people are diverting into Reimer or Bernier camps I'm just looking forward to the good competition. Having a couple young guys who can push for the starting job, fill in if one of them gets hurt, and being able to keep whichever turns out to be the better player is a good thing. Team wins in the end there.

Anyways good luck long term to the Flames.
