Its potentially three 30 goal scorers on the same line, I'd consider that deadly by itself, let alone how they're actually playing right now

Spezza is definitely a top 10 playmaker in the league. I can understand why you wouldn't like his game but he is very talented.

He cant find those places to get a good scoring chance either I think he is out of the running even though he was a long shot to begin with. He needs to learn the places and be able to get there in time at this level before his shot will be effective.

And it will be SO bad. Legitimately the weakest point on our team.

The sad fact is, there's no way they get rid of Sal as captain. I also don't see them getting rid of Zid being as he was just re-signed.

I believe at least 2 of Urbom, Gelinas, and Merrill should make this team. Knowing the coaching staff none of them will.

he might be saying that more out of overall play of the D and not really wanting to praise the young dmen too much coz they still do need work, and he is down aftter a bad game so see what he says tomorrow

i think gelinas makes the team

my worry is how much playing time would he get and how many games will he be watching because vets will be getting ice time

Our D is going to be so good in the future. This season it should be:

Greene-Larsson
Salvador/Volchenkov-Zidlicky
Gelinas-Fayne

One of Salvador or Volchenkov need to go. I think it could wait until next off season for amnesty buy out now that we got a owner with money.

The season after I think Meril will make the team for sure if he doesn't this season. He is going to be a great D man, think top pairing is a possibility. Urbom could too but it might give us too many left handed D. Urbom could be a good trade piece though, or develop into a good shut-down D man, always need one.
