I'm more excited to see how Severson plays. He put up damn good numbers last year.

It would be cool if the Devils end up scoring Brunner. He'd definitely give our forwards a lot more "skill"; they need it from the lack of skill from some of our other brash forward checkers.

I'm glad the team is reverting to the puck possession style they played under Sutter rather than the heavy forecheck, but that heavy forecheck served the Devils so well in that playoff run.

They might make the playoffs with this team (if it includes Brunner), but I foresee them struggling with on-ice leadership unless Henrique is ready to step up into that role.

I feel like the current line-up would categorize them as a "tricky" team. One of those teams who if you are an opponent, while you may have a better roster and record, you can't assume a win otherwise you'll pay the price. Like Florida was two seasons ago.

Either way, the Devils roster never impresses anyone any year, so go figure.
