Go Lupul Go
Dudes IF, and it's a big if for any team, the top 6 stay healthy for most of this year, it's the first group that I'm intrigued by since the Sundin, Roberts, Mogilny, Quinn etc etc era teams. But at least four other teams in our division are as good or better...I think the Atlantic is going to be (frank)ing nuts this year...me likey me likey

I haven't been excited for the Leafs forwards like this in a while. Best group since the ones you listed. Unfortunately, there's 2 legit 1st line wingers and no centre. Bizzaro world Sundin team. |

Meh Ken Morrow with a few cups was probably the best of the lot. Neal Broten was a good player. - honesthockey
Mike Ramsey also had a great career. Other good NHLer's included Dave Christian, Dave Silk, Steve Christoff. But yeah the #1 player for sure to come off that team was Neal Broten. The guy was awesome. |

I know you do, and I wasn't knocking Bozak. He's a good player, but he's not necessarily in the same group as Lupul and Kessel of the last 2 years. |

Mike Ramsey and Neal Broten were definitely better and arguably so was Dave Christian... but do agree Ken Morrow was very solid for those Islander teams.... |

I know, right? It's the problem reversed, typical Leaf fan torment. Imagine Sundin from that era teleported onto this team, to play with Kessel...and I'd put Lupul with them...(frank)ing sick. The hockey gods mock Leafs nation. |

No but he was involved with their success. That's a proven. I like line 3 and its been something this team has been lacking since Zezel, Osbourne, Berg. And I like the big guys on 4 and think a part of the Leafs success last year was bc they allowed skilled players to play.

Yeah bizarre for sure. B4 we had a true #1 center in Sundin but had trouble putting quality wingers around him. Now years later, the present Maple Leafs have terrific wingers but no true #1 center. How sweet with this current group of wingers if we had a #1 center as talented as Sundin. |

I myself do like Bozak. A heck of alot better than the idiot Grabbo. However I will admit he's not a true #1 center. However he is the best we have. I would take him over Weiss, Ribero & of course Grabbo. |

Sundin always seemed to get the o.t goals. His slapshot and backhand were leathal. |

You're right. I don't mind him at all, in fact he was the reason I lost one of my classic bets with the Habs losers. I may have thought he'd get more points than he did one year. |

Why is Grabbo an idiot? We all blew him when he got his bell rung and came back and scored that winner in the same game. I wish us as a group of fans would stop with the "he's poop, we hated him always" as soon as he leafs. (lols, leafs) |

Could you guys imagine Sundin with 2 of Lupul/Kessel/JVR/Clarkson on his wings?

yea, Grabo was a tank pretty much every season outside of this last one. Sucks that he didn't get another try, but it's pretty obvious they needed the cap space. |

As RC says 8 I totally agree, Bozak does so many little things right. The only thing he hasn't done is raised his offensive game. He's a good center & if/when the offense comes, he's going to prove alot of people wrong. |

There were a ton of factors up against him, IMO
He was the highest paid forward, his illness affecting his performance(and possibly it'll stick around), Bozak's been nothing if not consistent, and Kadri stepped up.
In the end it was probably the right move, but damn does it suck to see him go. |

I loved his "hit me and I'll get up and make you eat my Richard" mentality. I'm sure GCHyundai liked it too even though he "hates" him now. |

It's actually exciting to see this finally coming together. Top 6, if healthy is as good as most with Jvr, Bozak, Kessel, Lupul, Kadri and Clarkson.
Bottom 6 of Raymond, Bolland, Kulemin, Colborne, McClement and Mclaren/Orr is decent enough for the time being. May only need to upgrade one 4thline forward.
Hopefully Bernier reaches the potential a lot of experts suggest.
That only leaves the D. Think its only a matter of time for the D to sort itself out though. Young guys to come through. I'd actually lookto trade franson for a forward prospect as i dont think he will be in our d corps in a couple of years. Phan9, Rielly, Gardiner, Finn/Percy should make 4 of 6.
Exciting times ahead. |

Also, somebody pointed out Clarkson's crazy eyes. The rest of the game whenever he was on the ice I noticed them. I think we're gonna like that guy. I'm not gonna sit here and female dog and moan about his signing. We all knew it was coming. Let's just ride with it. |
