Where do you guys think Strome begins the season (or plays most of the season), at center or on the wing?

Yes he is apparently he cut his leg, but it had nothing to do with that hit.

I agree and it's a great blueprint
- Dan Petriw

For the first time in nearly 30 years we can say that. The whole plan all along is to build a pipeline of prospects. A steady flow, if you will. We're now assured that's happening at the defensive position for the next few years. Presumably, UFA considerations should increase with the publicity of Barclays and improvement of the team overall. The club's patience is finally paying off.

Forget about the games last night. Lets talk about what's truly important: Where in the world is RDP going to wind up? Has anyone heard any rumors about what might become of him? Is he going to get another shot or is he destined to play in a roller hockey league on Long Island?
- Jethro09

He was an option in Florida till Thomas signed there...

Maybe the Rags will sing him, they LOVE ex-Islander Goalies

My boss doesn't get shy I got tickets for the Brooklyn game.

He says 'Play offs in hockey is the REAL season. Regular season is pre-season. And pre-season is pre-pre-season.'

I'm only going because its first game in Brooklyn and is quicker for me to get to than NVMC.

Most people who bash hockey are baseball fans. Baseball is possibly the most boring sport to watch and play on the planet.

I understand that Bouchard is likely to start for this year. Come on, I would love to see Strome and Reinhart join the team this year. I don't care if people think they need one more year before they come to Islanders. Give me a break! I want to see Strome. I know that Reinhart and Strome are a real deal!

And if they play this year in the NHL there is a good chance in 3 years we will be asking "what happened to the real deals??"

Why rush them when there is no need to do so?

You want to make the playoffs or you want develop kids? When they are ready for their role they play

Ill tell you what I would do if I was GM, trade Poulin and one of our d prospects for a decent goalie. All we need is averaging goaltending at this point.

I would only do that if nobody is capable of being a backup. I'd rather wait a year and sign one of the six quality UFA goalies next summer

It seems like at this point we have three back up goalies and no number one. Nabby is getting old, but is still better than the other two and Poulin I never was a fan of from the beginning. Reminds me of DP

everyone seems to forget that nabby stole a few games for the isles last year than he shat the bed in the playoffs but without nabby last year, the isles arent in the playoffs... nabby will be fine and poulin needs to prove himself...

Milbury would have traded that pick to move up and draft a goalie.

The isles have been rushing prospects for as long as I can remember. It's great that they've stop doing it. Development only helps the player and organization in the long run. No need for Strome and Reinhart to be rushed. They'll be Islanders soon enough.
