I just saw it and your movie love affair sprang instantly to mind.

I was going to post the cab scene then I remembered it probably wouldn't last on the thread before someone took it down.

Yeah, had the same thought....Get your own cab!

If Raffl makes the club and Laughton goes back to Oshawa does the Phatoms roster look something like this?

From a Flyers fan pov who do you guys want to see have a strong AHL season?

Forwards
Jason Akeson - Ben Holstrom - Tye McGinn
Petr Straka - Nick Cousins - Marcel Noebels
Kris Newbury - Chris VandeVeld - Tyler Brown
Kyle Flanagan - Zack Fitzgerald - Brandon Alderson

Doug Clarkson, Rob Bordson, Andrew Johnston, Matt Mangene, Derek Mathers

Defence
Oliver Lauridsen - Mark Alt
Brandon Manning - Matt Konan
Maxim Lamarche - Cullen Eddy

Steven Delisle, Tyler Hostetter, Mark Nemec

Goale
Cal Heeter
Yann Danis

Again? Is this your third?

And a hearty congratulations. If you're half the parents you are people you have some lucky kids. They'll still turn on you at 13.

Question. I'm not being sarcastic. Would you willingly take Prongers symptons for the rest of your life for 40 million dollars?
- youarewrong

No. He's effectively disabled. He can't even regularly do scouting or coaching duties. It interferes with simple day-to-day things. I think if he could give the money back and feel well, he'd do it.

Clarkson, Flanagan and Mangene are destined for Greenville. Same with Hostetter and Chubak. Bordson is an every game player. He does everything well. Probably move Newbury up on your chart and Holmstrom down. Ben is not a first line player, especially coming back from the knee.

To answer your question; You always want your kids to have a successful season and to know what it takes come playoff time.

I'd think Fitzgerald is a bubble player at the most. You think there's a chance they keep him in Adirondack?

Fitz is a HUGE fan favorite in Glens Falls. If PR plays any part in the equation, he will be a Phantom. They need something to keep the locals paying to see the lame ducks team after all.

Do the Phantoms have a number one center then?

From what I have heard Murray doesnt necessary care about raw offensive talent, rather he focus on a a 200 foot game.

I also wonder if Cousins plays C or they put him on the wing. I think that he can be a effective winger in a few years if he refines his d game. A lot can change in a couple years but a line with Simmonds and Cousins would be fun to watch

You mean a line with Simmonds and Cousins's top potential.

The positions became a bit murky when Murray took over. The end of the lockout played havoc with any cohesion that had been established in October and November. Then Holmstrom went down and later Wellwood. I am not even sure where Straka can play, but he may be a candidate for the top line.

Paddock seemed to want the Phantoms to be a pure developmental arena. This led to any number of line combos. Noebels was one player who seemed to find his game this way. I'm sure that Hextall will have is own approach. Maybe not so different though since Manchester never had great AHL playoff runs, but always seemed to have ready players available to send to the Kings.

I think it's a wash. Gagne has experience, but at this point, he's just a depth player. I'd rather pay Raffl just south of $800K than Gagne $1.5-$2mm
- Jsaquella

And Raffl has future upside, Gagne is on the way down. Cheaper, younger piece is a no brainer IMO. Other players to fall back on.
